Send Flowers to the Family Offer Condolences or MemoryMORICE JOHN WALKER (MO) MARCH 27, 1928 - OCTOBER 24, 2005 It is with great sadness that we the family of Morice Walker announce his passing on Monday, October 24, 2005 at the Park Manor Personal Care Home at the age of 77. Predeceased by his wife Alice Walker (March 24, 2005). He will be lovingly remembered by his son Bruce (Joanne) Walker and her daughter Kimberley (Allan) Dawydiuk and granddaughters Mandy (Allan) McKenzie, Amber Kirkness (Victor DaSilva), Jolene Kirkness (Justin Feibelkorn), and Danielle Walker and great-granddaughters Mya Kirkness-McKenzie and Neve DaSilva. Morice also leaves to mourn his sister Dorothy Greenwood, brothers David (Betty) Walker, Stuart (Peggy) Walker and sister-in-law Louise (Gordon) Quistberg and numerous nieces, nephews and friends. Mo was born in Transcona in 1928 where he lived, worked and raised his family. He started work at CNR at the age of 16 and remained with CNR for 42 years. His interests included camping, fishing and carpentry. He loved his train sets and developing new tracks and landscapes. He enjoyed shuffleboard, hockey and baseball. Dad had the most amazing smile and he loved to be around people and socializing. He had also belonged to the Independent Order of Forresters. But nothing compared to his love of spending time with his grandchildren and great-grandchildren. There are so many special memories we all have of dad and would love to share in celebration of his life with his loved ones and friends. Memorial service will be held Friday, October 28, 2005 at 1:00 p.m. at Green Acres Funeral Home, Hwy #1 East at Navin Road with reception to follow. The family wishes to thank the staff at Park Manor and Dr. K. Grace for their kindness and care.
