Send Flowers to the Family Offer Condolences or MemoryRAYMOND COLLIS Following complications of an accident Ray passed away in Grace Hospital on September 24, 2007 at the age of 95. Cremation took place soon after. Ray was predeceased by his loving wife and soulmate Ruby (married 64 years); brothers, Ernie, Tedd, Alfred, Ronald, Frederic; sisters, Lillian and Florence. He is survived by his daughter Kathleen (Terry) Cousins, Deborah Collis as well as his sister Evelyn and brother Malcolm. He is also survived by grand-daughters, Wendy (Sean) Richey and Cynthia (Don) Schmuland and one grandson Mitchell Tucker. Ray was born in Leross, Saskatchewan on June 15, 1912, son of William and Ellen Collis. After spending his younger years there he came to Winnipeg with his older brother Ernie to find work during the depression. He met and married Ruby Milne in 1939. A celebration of life will be held on Thursday, June 5, 2008 at the Fort Rouge Legion at 426 Osborne St. in Winnipeg from 2:00 to 4:00 p.m. where a dedication of a park bench will be made in memory of Ruby and Ray who were longtime members of Fort Rouge Legion Branch 97.
