RAYMONDE TETREAULT (née FILLION) Raymonde passed away peacefully on November 26, 2011 at the Nursing Home at the Villa Youville in Sainte Anne, Manitoba and walked directly into God's loving embrace. She is now playing and walking with the angels in the flowery gardens of heaven. Raymonde was born in St. Joseph, Manitoba on November 24, 1936. She was raised in a large family and thus learnt many skills: she became a skilled cook, an accomplished musician and a talented signer. Raymonde was very crafty and tried her hand at needlepoint, crochet, cross-stitch, painting, paper tole and many other crafts. All this while raising her four children, teaching for 33 years and touching many lives, earning her Master's degree at the University of Manitoba and accompanying her husband throughout life's trials and tribulations. Mom had been confined to a wheelchair for the last 11 years due to a debilitating stroke. This did not stop her and Dad from travelling, visiting and enjoying their children and grandchildren. Raymonde was a devoted wife, a loving mother and a dedicated teacher. She will be sadly missed by her husband of 52 years, Roger, her four children Luc (Joanne), Murielle (Wayne), Paulette (Marc), Dolorès (Michel), her 12 grandchildren and her four great-grandchildren. She also leaves behind 11 siblings and many other family members and friends. Cremation has taken place and the memorial service will be held on Saturday, December 3 at 3:00 p.m., at Birchwood Funeral Chapel, 150 Penfeld Dr., in Steinbach, Manitoba. The family would like to thank the nursing staff at the Villa Youville for all the wonderful care that they have given her throughout her stay at the home.
