JACOB UNRAU Peacefully, in the evening hours of Wednesday, November 30, 2011, Jacob Unrau passed away at the Concordia Hospital. Jacob was 90 years of age. He was well known for 35 years as the Elmwood Barber. He is survived by his loving wife of 61 years, Katherine; daughter Myrna Doyle (Chuck); son Darrel Unrau; and granddaughter Sharon Doyle. The family wish to extend their sincere thanks and appreciation to the doctors and nurses of N1N for the compassionate care Jacob received. Viewing is scheduled for 10:00 a.m. Monday, December 5 at Calvary Temple, 400 Hargrave Street with funeral service at 11:00 a.m. Interment will follow at Glen Eden Cemetery, 4477 Main Street. Donations in lieu of flowers can be made to World Vision.

I was very close to the Unrau family, they were like family to me. I remember Jacob to be a very quiet and gentle man always happy and always there when some one needed him.
