RONALD JAMES TODD With much sadness we announce the passing of James Todd on December 12, 2011. He is survived by his loving wife of 41 years, Gay; children Kim (Bevan) and Jeff (Emma); sister Bernice (Otto); sisters-in-law Joyce Todd and Bonnie Wilson (Pete), and numerous nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by parents Stella and Bill Todd, and brother Maurice. James was born in Winnipeg, December 25, 1947, living in St. Francis Xavier and later in west end Winnipeg. He graduated from Tec-Voc and worked for Lake Shippers and then went into sales and loved working in that field. He was last employed with GSK. James loved gatherings with family and friends. He played many sports but especially loved hockey and golf. He also enjoyed traveling to tropical places. He had a love for animals, especially dogs. Special heartfelt thanks to St. Boniface Palliative Care and CancerCare Units for their wonderful care and compassion, who went above and beyond by arranging to get James an autographed Jets jersey which he was ecstatic at receiving. He enjoyed all visitors as well as K.D. Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Thursday, December 15 at 11:00 a.m., at Holy Redeemer Church, 264 Donwood. Interment will follow at Transcona Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to St. Boniface Hospital Palliative or CancerCare Units or a charity of your choice.
