Send Flowers to the Family Offer Condolences or MemoryCAROL ELIZABETH KOENIG (nee BUTLER) It is with great sadness we announce the passing of our much loved wife, mother, grandmother and great-grandmother on Saturday, December 10, 2011 at the age of 74 years. Left to cherish Carol's memory are her husband Herb of 48 years, Kimberly her daughter and Michael and Garry, her sons. Grandchildren Lyndsay and Kelsey and great-grandchild Olivia, sisters Darlene and Barb as well as extended family members and friends. Carol was born on Montreal, PQ on July 13, 1937 where she later met Herbert and then moved to Winnipeg to start their new life together. The family would like to sincerely thank the doctors, nurses and staff of Concordia Hospital for their kindness and caring of Carol during her stay in hospital. In keeping with her wishes, she will be cremated and a memorial service will be held on Monday, December 19 at 1:00 p.m. at the Royal Canadian Legion #9, 920 Nairn Ave. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to the Canadian Cancer Society.
