ALBERT SIGTRYGGUR PALSON Mr. Albert Palson, aged 71 years of Lac du Bonnet, MB, dearly beloved husband of Valerie Palson, passed away peacefully on January 17, 2012 at the Health Sciences Centre in Winnipeg, MB. He is survived by his loving wife of 48 years, Valerie, his daughter Samantha, and his son John (Elaine). Afi was most proud of his grandchildren Cole, Vanessa, and Jessica. Dad lived and worked in Pinawa and retired to the cottage life in Lac du Bonnet, where his greatest joys were cutting the grass and plowing snow, he was very proud of his home. He loved to share his own stories of growing up in the Riverton area. Dad loved music and dancing, which he passionately shared with the rest of the family, teaching his girls to follow, and not lead. As a celebration of his life, his family is planning to host a dinner and dance in his honour at the Lac du Bonnet Legion in June 2012. At his request, cremation has taken place. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Canadian Mental Health Association, 2-836 Ellice Ave., Winnipeg, MB R3G 0V2.
