Send Flowers to the Family Offer Condolences or MemoryLAURALYN MICHELLE WARKENTIN It is with heavy hearts that we announce the sudden passing of our dear daughter and sister, Lauralyn on February 7, 2012 at the age of 21 years. She was predeceased by her Opa Heinz Lage and Grandfather Peter H. Warkentin. Lauralyn will be sadly missed and lovingly remembered by her parents David and Irene Warkentin, sister Nicolette, and Oma Beate Lage, and numerous friends and family members. Lauralyn was a healthy and happy child who brought joy not only to her immediate family but to everyone around her. She liked school - always on the Honour Roll, but liked to learn on her own more. She played the piano and guitar, and really enjoyed soccer. She liked travelling with family, and with friends. Over the years the family travelled all over North America, but also enjoyed quiet days at the cottage on Muriel Lake. The high school years were some of the most formative and happiest in her life. The close group of friends she was part of contributed to her growth and maturity. Lauralyn was hard working - holding down up to two jobs, while studying at the University of Manitoba. She was a free spirit who enjoyed the Folk Fest and singing off-key. And she was never far from her computer. A come and go reception for family and friends will be held on Saturday, February 11, 2012 between 1:00 and 3:00 p.m. at Friends Funeral Service, 2146 Main Street. In lieu of flowers donations may be made to The Movement Centre of Manitoba, 1646 Henderson Hwy., Winnipeg. We will miss you terribly, Lauralyn. We may never fully understand why you had to go when you said you had so much to live for. We trust you are at peace now.
