Send Flowers to the Family Offer Condolences or MemoryRODNEY (SONNY) NIEL WIENS Rodney (Sonny) Niel Wiens passed away peacefully with family at his side at St. Boniface Hospital on Monday, February 13, 2012 at the age of 59. He will be lovingly missed by his mother and father, Mary and Cornelius Wiens of Steinbach, his brothers Roy (Bibs), Larry and daughter Lara, and Al (Joan), and sisters Tracy and Dol. Also left to mourn are his many aunts and uncles, cousins, stepchildren, grandchildren, and numerous friends and acquaintances. Sonny was predeceased by his wife Annie in 2008. He had a great big heart and will be remembered by all who knew him for his kindness, generosity, perseverance, courage and sense of humour. The family would like to thank the staff at the St. Boniface Hospital Palliative Care Ward for their care and compassion. Cremation has taken place and a memorial service will be held Friday, February 17 at 11:00 a.m. at Birchwood Funeral Chapel, 150 Penfeld Dr., Steinbach, MB. I have great memories of many happy hours with Sonny. He loved to laugh and be silly, but he had his serious side too. We would have great discussions about life mixed with some lighter moments of laughing. You will be missed Sonny. To all his family, especially his mom and dad, my condolences.
