  • I wish to bestow my condolences to my friend Marcel and his family during this difficult time. Marcel has been a good friend, and has told me of his mother. She must have been a very beautiful lady, and am saddened that I did not have the chance to know her personally. It is a great loss to lose one who is so loved and cherished. May her memory continue to live on in your hearts and her love continue to live on in each of you. - Posted by: April Girardeau (Friend of a family member) on: Mar 24, 2012

  • In her young days Auntie Lorette lived in La Broquerie, MB. My mother (Lorette's older sister) told me that Auntie Lorette would babysit me with great patience because I was a colliky baby. So, I am grateful for that and I wished I had made the time to visit her. - Posted by: Leon Boily (nephew) on: Mar 07, 2012

  • Ma tante Laurette was a very special person, one who I will hold close to my heart, along with her mother (and our grandmother). I truly mourn her loss and I offer to her family my deepest sympathies. What made Laurette special to me is her love. She always made me feel like one of her own. I was always comfortable in her presence as she shared her stories on her life, her children and my father (as she knew him quite well and he loved her very much). She was fond of her memory, her ability to recall vivid details from the past. And as mentioned by Lucille, she had a good sense of humour. I would tell her very genuinely that she would remind me of Grandmère Deschênes, and she would humbly refuse to be compared to her. Yet, they were two loving and dedicated women, who are now blessed to be together again. Elle laisse une impression vive sur ma vie et je suis certain qu'elle en a fait autant avec beaucoup d'autres. Je me joins à tous ces personnes en prière pour le repos de son âme. - Posted by: Denis Deschênes (Nephew) on: Mar 05, 2012

  • I have been blessed with knowing two saints on earth in my lifetime. One being Memere Deschenes and the other is ma tante Laurette. She was a very special person in my life when I was bringing up my son Marc in the 70s. Her love was unconditional and she had a huge heart of gold. We need more ma tante Laurette's in our lives. She loved to laugh and had a great sense of humour. Unfortunately we loss touch over the years but I have never forgotten her. Merci ma tante Laurette pour votre presence dans ma vie. Je t'aime. • Terry and Gilbert and Family: May GOD Bless and strengthen you at this time. I lost my Mom in October and love and tears help, so love each other, share about your Mother and cry lots. GOD is our source of strength and hope. - Posted by: Bill and Marguerite Gould (Friend) on: Mar 05, 2012
