Send Flowers to the Family Offer Condolences or MemoryCASMIR JOSEPH BIALEK Mr. Casmir Joseph Bialek, aged 87, of Beausejour, Manitoba, dearly beloved husband of Adele (Regula) passed away peacefully with family by his side on March 7, 2012 at Beausejour Hospital. He is survived by his wife Adele of 59 years, son Ben of Vancouver, daughters Cindy of Winnipeg and Tammy (Darrin) of Kelowna, grandchildren Audrey (James) of Winnipeg, Andrew (Courtney) of Winnipeg and Amber of Kelowna, sister Adeline Cyncora (Peter) of Transcona, brother Tom (Helen) of Delhi, Ontario, brothers-in-law Bob Regula of Transcona and Ed Duke of Anola, as well as many nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by his parents Albert and Julia Bialek, sisters Mary Komadowski (Bill), Nellie Urbanski (Anton), Cecilia Winnicki (John), Jean Walker (John), brothers John (Nellie), Stanley (Bertha), Joe (Ollie), sister-in-law Margaret Duke, brother-in-law Joe Regula and son-in-law Jeff Reimann. Casmir was born in 1924 in Garson, one of 10 children. He grew up in Garson and in 1944 the family moved to the farm just outside of Beausejour. Six years later he took over the family farm and two years later married Adele. They resided there for 59 years. Over the years he subdivided some of his property into a subdivision called Oak Hill Road and left a six and a half acre yard site for his own use. Casmir and Adele lived there until last summer when they moved to Burgoyne Station in Beausejour. His passion for music started at an early age of six and he continued to play various instruments over the years until two weeks before he passed. While in hospital he enjoyed entertaining other patients and staff with his button accordion. Welding, which started in his teens, was another love that he embraced with great enthusiasm. Later in life he began a farm welding business which he ran for many years until his first heart attack at age 65. After his recovery, he continued making lawn and garden ornaments where no piece of scrap iron was wasted. He took pride in whatever he made and put it on display for everyone to see. Over the years he designed, created and sold many items, some made to special order, such as bale stookers, rock pickers, etc. He sold his items locally and as far away as Saskatchewan and in The Netherlands. One of his creations, a glider swing, has a place on his backyard pad, presently in use. Alzheimer's and Dementia prevented him from continuing with his passion of welding and limited his playing of musical instruments. Funeral Mass will be celebrated on Monday, March 12, 2012 at 11:00 a.m., at St. Mary Roman Catholic Church, Beausejour, MB. Interment will follow at the Roman Catholic Cemetery. Pallbearers will be Andrew Orr, Darrin Crack, Lawrence Regula, Dale Walker, Wes Winnicki and Ken Bialek. In lieu of flowers, if friends and family so desire, donations in his memory may be made to The Alzheimer Society of Manitoba.
