ROLLIN REIMER 1924 - 2012 On March 14, 2012, after a brief illness, Rollin Reimer was called home to meet his heavenly Father. He will be sadly missed by his wife of 65 years, Elma, his four children, Marilyn O'Hara of Kenora, Judith Larsen of Washington, DC, Robert and Sylvia Reimer of Steinbach, and Susan and Kel Zacharias of Winnipeg, and their families. Rollin spent 15 years in Ethiopia in ministry as a missionary builder with the Sudan Interior Mission. Upon returning to Canada he spent 10 years with the Hanover School Division and nine years with the River East School Division as the Director of Maintenance. He was a mentor in all his work and developed lasting friendships. Rollin's strong faith and hope in God was unshakable to the very end. A special thanks to Dr. Curtis Krahn for his help and friendship and to the Steinbach Bethesda Hospital Nursing Staff. Sorry to hear of the passing of Mr. Reimer! Sending our love, prayers, thoughts and condolences to the Reimer family. I am thankful for my personal experiences of kind Christian love and sweet, fun and gentle character of Mr. Reimer (and family) to me in my years growing up in the town of Steinbach and during my attendance at the Steinbach Evangelical Free Church. I am grateful for Mr. Reimer's unwavering witness for God, his passion and service for Christ, and his love and compassion for, and mission to, those around him. Looking forward to a greater reunion in heaven! Psalm 46:1, Psalm 116:15 In Christ, Conroy (and Gail) Penner Edmonton, AB - Posted by: Conroy Penner (friend) on: Mar 21, 2012

It was a sincere pleasure to work with Mr Reimer during his days with the River East School Division. As a member of the Board of Trustees I was always grateful for his well thought out ideas and his gentle ways. Through him, I was able to meet Mrs.Reimer and at this time I hope that fond memories will sustain her and her family during these times of sorrow, - Posted by: Vicki Lazaruk (former Trustee, River East School Division) on: Mar 19, 2012

Dear Mrs. Rollin Reimer, my Pioneer Girls Pal: Your marriage was such a committed journey. It is such a testimony to all. Thank you for befriending me in Pioneer Girls and for your husband's support of this. He always made me feel special, too. I can only imagine how much you will miss him. You will see him soon. Your Heavenly Father will never leave you or forsake you in this grieving and as you walk out this journey without Rollin. Rollin also was a great blessing to Al as he worked for him at River East School Division painting schools. Rollin has made a big impact on many through his life's work. May you feel surrounded with all the well wishes and may they bring you comfort and assurance of Rollin's impact in the lives of others, including your own. Take care. You, Elma and Rollin have always been our very dear friends. We always appreciated your friendship, even though we were in different countries and continents [You in Africa and we in Europe] much of the time. God will continue to bless you and your family. Peace and Love, Irene and Abe Neufeld. - Posted by: Irene and Abe {Red} Neufeld (Close friends) on: Mar 17, 2012

We are sad to be traveling at the time of Rollin's funeral and will be unable to attend. Rollin was special to us in so many ways. His wise counsel, personal support and delightful bearing are going to be greatly missed. Perhaps the greatest legacy he leaves, to me, is his part in the choice of the original site for Red Rock Bible Camp. As a former Director of Red Rock, I always cherished the link between us and the other men (one of whom was my grandfather, C.T.Loewen). I shall miss the severance of that physical connection. Mary and I are deeply saddened by the loss of Rollin and extend our heartfelt love to you, Elma, and your family. - Posted by: Paul and Mary Loewen (Friends) on: Mar 17, 2012
