MARY OLINYK Mary Olinyk peacefully passed from this life Friday, April 20, 2012 at the age of 87. Mary is survived by her daughter Marge and son-in-law Gordon Ullyot, grandchildren Jason and Lea Anne (Makowsky), daughter-in-law Jill Olinyk and son-in-law Ken Waslyk, grandsons Jim and David, daughter-in-law Marie Skeuse and grandson Eddie, daughter-in-law Dorothy Pugh and grandson Devin, grandson Jessie McRedmond, many great-grandchildren, nieces and nephews, as well as her sisters Jean Zakaluk and Zoni (Ed) Smarlarski. Mary was predeceased by her husband Jim and children Lillian, Gerry, Roger and John, grandson Bob Bemmington, her brother Banny Matchizen and sister Elsie Wilgosh. Mary was born January 1, 1925 at Thalberg, Manitoba. She met Jim and married in 1944. They lived and worked in Winnipeg until 1980 when they retired to Gull Lake, Manitoba. Mary spent the past few years close to her daughter Marge in Nipawin, SK. A viewing will be held 7:30 p.m. Friday, April 27 at Sobering Funeral Chapel, Beausejour, Manitoba. Funeral services will be held 10:30 a.m. Saturday, April 28 at Sobering Funeral Chapel. Interment to follow at Sts. Peter and Paul Church Cemetery, Thalberg, Manitoba. A light luncheon will be served at Thalberg Hall following the service.
