Erich's other love was spending summers with family and great friends at Camp Neustadt, and winter's in Mexico with many of his friends. • We are so sorry to you Michelle, your dad was such a funny man. Loved hearing his stories and the fact that you people get together for every occassion. You make an occassion, even when there is no occasion. Your driveway is always full, especially on Sunday nights, even though there will be one less at the table he'll always be right beside you. Again we are so sorry for you and for us, xo, you'll forever be in our thoughts and prayers... - Posted by: Randy and Patricia Mazurkiewich&Family (Friends and neighbours) on: May 09, 2012

  • We were so sorry to hear about Erich. He was always a lot of fun and times spent with both he and Liz will be cherished. I only wish he had been a better influence on my poor, easily-led-astray-husband, Russ. Please have one last drink "To The Treaties" in his memory. I'm sure your dad is reading this, Diana, and laughing. With sincere sympathy to all of the family and close friends. Take care. - Posted by: Shelly and Russ Doman (Friends) on: May 09, 2012

  • I worked under Erich in Symington for many years. Later as a temporary Supervisor, he taught me "the ropes". He was a stern fellow but fair and was a lot of laughs as well. I enjoy the fact that I knew him and mourn your loss with you. - Posted by: Eric Clapham (co-worker at CN Rail) on: May 08, 2012

  • Our deepest sympathies. We know how hard the past months have been but we also know and admire the way your family supports and cares for one another. Your dad may have liked to be "boss" in earlier days but he always knew he could count on all of you to be there to get him through those rough days. To Liz - deepest condolences - Hope you are all sharing good memories and some laughter over family events! Love Brian and Barb - Posted by: Brian and Barb Green (frriend & in-law) on: May 07, 2012
