Born in Winnipeg on December 6, 1929, Len was predeceased by his wife of 35 years Ruby (Webber), his father Albert, his mother Elisabeth (Wilson), his sister Kay and her husband Leslie Chambers and their son Terry (nephew), Len's brother Terrance, and his wife Agnes. Len is survived by his nephew Lorne Chambers and his wife Pauline, his niece Kathy Davies and her husband Frank, and his daughter by choice, Marilyn Boyce and her husband Doug. We know that Len would like us to thank all his close friends who kept in touch with him throughout the years, especially Bent Kristensen and his wife Kirsten. Len started working for Remington Typewriters in 1945 as a typewriter serviceman and in 1950 went to work for Underwood (Olivetti) typewriters. In 1960, he implemented the Office Equipment Branch for the Provincial Government as supervisor of Office Machines. In 1970, Len started his own business as L.G. Foster Company from his home and later as Winakwa Enterprises Ltd., in St. Vital. Len enjoyed a good joke and laugh with his friends. He travelled all over Manitoba fishing and hunting and was a member of the Eagle Game and Fish Association. As per his wishes cremation has taken place. In keeping with Len's wishes no service will be held. A huge thank you to all the doctors, nurses and staff at the Fred Douglas Lodge for their care and compassion during Leonard's stay. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to the Society for Manitobans with Disabilities Foundation.
