JOAN ELIZABETH (PECKOVER) GATES March 8, 1932 - May 15, 2012 It is with great sadness that the children of Joan Elizabeth (Peckover) Gates announce her passing on Tuesday, May 15, 2012, at the age of 80. Mom is survived by sons Bob (Kathy), Jim (Kathy), Paul (Karen), daughter Barbara (Maurice) Laferriere, and our Dad, Jim. She is also survived by her sister Andrienne Lough and brothers Neil (Corrine) Maxwell and Andrew (Sandra) Warren. In addition to her siblings she will be greatly missed by her grandchildren as well as many nieces and nephews. We would like to send our heartfelt thanks to the Palliative Care Unit of the St. Boniface Hospital for their compassionate care of Mom during her short time there. In lieu of flowers please send donations in Mom's memory to CancerCare Manitoba Foundation or the Winnipeg Humane Society. In keeping with Mom's wishes Cremation has taken place and no service will be held. FOREVER IN OUR HEARTS
