ZANON (ZANE) WOZNEY Peacefully on Saturday, May 19, 2012, Zanon passed away at home with his family by his side. Zanon (Zane) was born July 9, 1947 in Rossburn, Manitoba. Left to cherish his memory is his wife Adeline, children Haley and Geoffrey, as well as numerous family members and friends. Zanon worked at CN/VIA Rail for 32 years on the passenger train. He also volunteered for CancerCare Manitoba. A celebration of life will be held 11:00 a.m. Saturday, May 26 at Korban Funeral Chapel, 907 Main St. In lieu of flowers, donations in Zanon's memory may be made to Cancercare Manitoba or a charity of one's choice.   • Condolences to the family. Zane and I had been close friends and when I went to Toronto, he and his buddies from Via would all meet. Way too many good memories to mention. Talked to him last year and thanked him very much for him taking my Aunt to Cancercare in Winnipeg. I am sure she enjoyed him very much and no doubt the Ukrainain language was spoken. R.I.P. friend.   • It has often been said that you meet the nicest people on trains. Zane was proof of that. We first met Zane when he was the Service Manager on the Canadian in the mid-1990s. We were very fortunate to know this wonderful man and his lovely family. We always saw the Wozneys on our trips to Winnipeg, or even if just passing through on the train.
