PATRICIA DARLENE FUTROS It is with deep sadness that we announce the peaceful passing of our beloved Patricia, on Sunday, May 27, 2012 at the age of 58. She will be lovingly remembered by her mother, Josephine Futros, her sister Debbie (David) Nickie, her brother David (Sandra) Futros, her nieces Lynnette, Bonnie, and Kelly, her nephews David (Kylie), Jeffrey, and Aaron (Melody), as well as her two adored furry companions, Trixie and Squeaker. Patricia was predeceased by her father, Peter Futros in 2000. She was born on March 27, 1954 in St. Boniface Hospital in Winnipeg, and resided for the majority of her life on the family farm in Dugald, Manitoba taking care of all her farm animals, while also being employed at United Grain Growers. Throughout her life, she loved all animals and had innumerable pets, both tame and wild. Later on in her life, she submitted pieces of work from her two favourite hobbies, photography and writing, to many western farm publications, amassing a large collection of published work. As her nieces and nephews were growing up, Patricia relished spoiling and spending as much fun time as she could with them. She was a wonderful and loving aunty, playing an integral part in their lives. As per her wishes, a small private family memorial service was held on Friday, June 1, 2012, with an interment at Green Acres Cemetery. Special thanks to the caring nursing team and Dr. Duerksen on Floor 3 West at Concordia Hospital for their attentive care, as well as to Oakbank homecare, especially Jolene. God gave us sunshine, birds, and trees, The star-filled sky above- He gave us beauty, flowers, friends, And special ones to love. But sometimes life brings us concerns or cares From day to day, So God gave us all a special gift to help us on our way. He gave us the assurance that, His love is always there, To comfort and to guide us through the miracle of prayer. Condolences & Memories (1 entries)

  • Patricia was a wonderful person to work with at U.G.G. and in working in the same dept. as her, she took me under her wing and showed me what the dept. was all about. We shared alot of interesting stories. Her enthusiasm showed always whenever I asked her about her daily chores on the farm and whenever a new addition was born she would always tell me. The stories were never-ending. May God grant you eternal rest Pat and thank you for the memories and years we shared at U.G.G. To your family, Patricia will be missed by us all and may her memory live on in each of you. - Posted by: Kim Bugera (nee Sadowy) (Co-worker from United Grain Growers (Farm Supply Dept.)) on: Jun 05, 2012
