JOHN SAWATZKY It is with heavy hearts that we announce the peaceful passing of our father, John Sawatzky on Monday, June 11, 2012. Born on August 26, 1933 in Niverville, MB, he leaves behind his three children: Ken (Lorraine), Jude (Jim) and Sharon (Len) plus two granddaughters, Nicole and Charise (Ren), and Ruby Sawatzky, the mother of their children. Dad was predeceased by his parents, four brothers and three sisters and is survived by remaining siblings: Jake, Mary, Lil (Harold) and Tony (Linda), plus many nieces and nephews. He was a life-long hard worker who was happiest when entertaining friends on his property near Balmoral, MB or tending to his horses and assortment of farm animals. He will be remembered most for his unique brand of humour plus his generosity of food and drink to anyone who stopped by the farm. The family would like to extend special thanks to his ultimate neighbour, Bruce Matthews for his continuous help and support during Dad's last years of continuous deterioration plus the sympathetic care from Doctor Loudon and all the nursing staff at Teulon Hospital.
