PARASKEVIA (PEARL) CWYK It is with deep sadness that we announce the passing of our beloved mother and grandmother on Saturday, June 16, 2012 at the age of 82. Paraskevia will be lovingly missed by her daughters Nadia (Kelly) and Irene (Jerry), and grandchildren Lucas, Eric and Ava. Also left to cherish her memory are her sisters Danka, Marusia, Stefka, Irka and her brother Bohdan. She was predeceased by her husband Teodor, her brother John, and her parents Andrew and Maria. Paraskevia was born in Brunary, Wyzne, Ukraine on October 25, 1929 and immigrated to Winnipeg in 1960. She married Teodor, her husband of 35 years, in October of 1960. Paraskevia had a deep commitment to the Ukrainian Catholic faith. She had been a member of Sts. Vladimir and Olga Cathedral for over 30 years and later accompanied her daughters with their families to liturgies at Holy Family Ukrainian Catholic Church. Although an exceptional seamstress, cook and gardener, she will be remembered most of all for her love of her family, especially her grandchildren. The family expresses its gratitude to Dr. Ade Olujohungbe and Elizabeth Agnew for their tireless care and to Father Darren Kawiuk for his numerous visits over the past few months. Divine Liturgy will be celebrated at 10:00 a.m., Thursday, June 21 at Sts. Vladimir and Olga Cathedral, 115 McGregor St. Interment to follow at All Saints Cemetery. Pallbearers are Kelly Vasas, Lucas Vasas, Jerry Chaloupka, Walter Watral, Slavko Zurowsky and Tim Picken. In lieu of flowers, a donation may be made in Paraskevia's memory to CancerCare Manitoba Foundation Inc. VICHNAYA PAMYAT KORBAN FUNERAL CHAPEL 204-956-2193
