ANNA EITZEN Peacefully at the Bethania Personal Care Home Anna passed away on July 8, 2012 at the age of 85 years. She was predeceased by her parents Katherine (1971) and Cornelius Eitzen (1992); her three brothers ;Peter (1949), Jack (John - 2002) and Henry (2007). Anna will be fondly remembered by her sister Agatha Wall; sisters-in-law Betty Giesbrecht and Margaret Eitzen nieces and nephews Sharon Caya, Lorraine (Rob) Radowetz, Ronald Eitzen, Trevor (Irene) Wall, Delema (Larry) Smith, and Steven Eitzen. Anna was born April 22, 1927 at Winkler, MB. She was the second of five children. Anna was a long time employee of Canada Safeway where she worked for 21 and one half years. Throughout the years she sponsored children through World Vision and when she retired she did a lot of charity work including visitations with the elderly, reading and writing letters for them. Anna loved to travel. During 1986 to 2001, her travels took her to various places including Russia, Germany, England, Hawaii, Mexico, Cuba, and the USA. Wherever she went she always had an extra suitcase of gifts along for everyone she visited. While traveling on bus tours she always had jokes and games along for entertainment. She had a great memory for people's names and places where she had visited. Funeral service to honour Anna's life will be held Wednesday, July 11, 2012 at 11:00 a.m. at Bethel Mennonite Church, 465 Stafford Street, Winnipeg, with interment to follow in Killarney, Manitoba. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in memory of Anna to the Manitoba Lung Association, 629 McDermot Ave., Winnipeg, MB R3A 1P6.
