NESTOR BALAN It is with deep sadness that we announce the peaceful passing of our father and grandfather on July 7, 2012 at Bethesda Hospital in Steinbach, MB, at the age of 83. He will be greatly missed by four children, Teresa (Lionel) Saindon, Greg (Francoise) Balan, Angie (Mary) Balan, Kim (Chris) Koop, grandchildren Bryan, Jeffrey, Stephanie, Madison and Walker. Nestor was predeceased by his wife Gloria, brothers, Peter, John, William, sisters Anna, Pauline, Anastasia, Natalie, Victoria and Melinda. He is survived by his brother Steve and sister-in-law Lena. The family offers their sincere thanks to the staffs of Rest Haven Nursing Home and Bethesda Hospital. A special thanks to Dr. Curtis Krahn. Funeral service will be held on Thursday, July 12, 2012 at 10:30 a.m. at Christ Our Saviour Catholic Church, 365 Loewen Boulevard, Steinbach, MB. Viewing is prior to mass. Lunch to follow at Birchwood Funeral Chapel, 150 Penfield Drive, Steinbach, MB. Interment at Holy Family Cemetery, 4355 Main Street, West St. Paul, MB with Father Gerry Sembrano officiating. Mr. Balan barely new me, I just started dating his daughter Angie but he opened up his home to me and welcomed me into his family. I found that he was a kind man that loved his family and cared for others. May he rest in peace. - Posted by: Richard Gasior (Friend) on: Jul 10, 2012
