JAMES SOLOMON James Solomon, aged 77 years, passed away suddenly on Sunday, July 15, 2012 at home in Hillside Beach surrounded by his family. James was predeceased by his son Douglas Solomon, sister Dona Mae and son-in-law Gary Klippenstien. He will be lovingly remembered by his wife Betty (nee Smith-Gaunt) of 32 years, his children Debbie, Michele, Dan, Laura and stepdaughter Val. He is also survived by 11 grandchildren and many great-grandchildren as well as extended family and friends. James worked for CN as a car clerk for many years. He spent his retirement calling Bingo, golfing, chopping wood and taking Charlie for walks. A special thank you to Marlene Ateah and crew for their speedy response. A Funeral Service will be held on Tuesday, July 17 at 12:00 p.m. at Sobering Funeral Chapel, 1035 Park Avenue E., Beausejour with viewing one hour prior to the service. Interment will follow in Brookside Cemetery, 3001 Notre Dame Avenue, Winnipeg. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Trinity Lutheran Church, c/o Box 327, RR 3, Beausejour, MB R0E 0C0 or to a charity of one's choice. So sad to have just heard about Uncle Jimmy passing. I always appreciated that he and Betty came to visit my mom (when she was not well) and to bring love and cheer.
