MARY PFEIFER It is with sadness we announce the passing of Mary Pfeifer on Saturday, July 14, 2012 at the age of 91. Mary will be lovingly remembered by her sisters; Nettie Pfeifer of Winnipeg and Stella Shulhan of Vancouver and her brother Sam Shulhan of Roblin, Manitoba. She was predeceased by her brothers Walter and Peter and her sister Anne. Mary holds a special place in the heart of her niece Angie Pfeifer and family (Bob, Cody and Bailey), her nephews Kelvin Shulhan and his family (Donna, Jonathan, Amanda, Travis, Trevor and Dexter) and nephews Michael Shulhan and Ron Shulhan. Mary was born in Merridale, Manitoba on April 23, 1921 and spent her childhood growing up on the farm where she loved being with her family and loved working on the farm. She moved to Winnipeg when she was in her twenties to join her sisters Stella and Nettie. She began working in the sewing industry until she retired from there in her sixties. Her hobbies were bowling and cooking and she was always one to have a good time. Family was everything to her and she was always spoiling her niece and nephews who meant the world to her. Mary was very giving and generous, never could say no to anyone and was always willing to help. A private family service will be held on Thursday, July 19, 2012 at Green Acres Funeral Home and Cemetery. The family would like to thank River East Personal Care Home and in particular Annette from Faith Lane who took care of Mary from day one. Thank you Annette for your special attention to Aunty.
