LILLIAN ANDREWS (JOHNSON) (nee OLSON) July 17, 1930 - July 15, 2012 It is with much sadness that we announce the passing of our dear mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother, Lillian, on Sunday, July 15, 2012. She went peacefully, with her family at her side, two days before her 82nd birthday. Mom will be lovingly remembered by her girls : Charlene, Denise (Bruce), and Lori (Kent), and her stepchildren, Doug (Lynn) and Anne (Rob). She also leaves her grandchildren: Ryan (Melanie), Marnie (Rick), Eddy (Susan), Tyler (Ashley), Jasmine and Jade; step-grandchildren Darren (Nadine), Carlee, Maureen and Mariah; and many great-grandchildren. She is survived by her two sisters, Joy Mowat and Mae MacGillivray, sister-in-law Eileen Crockatt, brothers-in-law Dan MacNeil, Kris Johnson (Gladys), Dennis Johnson (Liisa) and Earl Nichol, and many nieces and nephews. Lil was predeceased by her husband Eric Johnson, husband Jim Andrews, son Eric Wayne, parents Bill and Violet Olson, parents-in-law Larus and Olla Johnson, sister Hope MacNeil, brothers-in-law Bill Johnson, Jim Crockatt, Power Mowat and Carl MacGillivray, sisters-in-law Helga Nichol and Jeannette Johnson, and nephew Blair MacNeil. Lil grew up in Lundar. She attended Teacher's College and taught school in Whitemouth until she married Eric, who was in the Navy. They returned to Lundar where Eric worked in the bakery owned by Lil's parents. Lil raised their children and got involved in community activities. They later bought the bakery and operated it until they retired. Lil's life was enriched by community involvement, membership in the Eastern Star and Legion Auxiliary, her work as a substitute teacher, acting as Chairperson of the Miss Interlake Pageant, helping to organize and act as the adult advisor for the Luther League and Teen Canteen. Many people will remember sitting in the back of the Canteen sharing their problems, hopes and dreams with her. There was nothing more important in Mom's life than her family. She thrived on the reciprocation of the love that she bestowed on all of us. This included extended family and friends. Honouring Lil's wishes, cremation has taken place and no service will be held. We thank everyone for the outpouring of condolences and concern and the sharing of wonderful memories of Mom. We would like to thank the staff of the St. Norbert Care Home for their excellent care. Although we will greatly miss your physical presence, you will be in our hearts and with us in spirit forever.
