Mom loved life and as I remember growing up, she loved to sing and most people don't remember she could yodel. Yes that's what I said yodel. My fondest memory will be sitting at the dinning room table and asking her to yodel, and my fondest memories will be of us singing together. It was only a few months ago that I had made her and Hilda a CD. I brought it over and we sat at her dining room table and sang along with it. Mom may you rest in peace and sing along with the angels till we meet again. Love John, and Maria, and Grandchildren. - Posted by: John and Maria and Grande chirldren Taylor, and Jonathan () on: Aug 02, 2012

Mom and Grandama, she did the best she could with the cards she was dealt with in life. Made sure that she told Jonathan and Taylor how proud she was of them and all they where doing in university, and to keep up the good work, she had told me, her son, how happy she was and proud that I had met Maria and made her my wife, she was so proud when I had called her and told her that Maria was working for Seven Oaks School Division. She had also told Maria how proud she was to have her as her daughter-in-law, and always said how much she loved us and the children. My last dinner I had with Mom and Hilda, Hilda was cooking and I was with Mom on the patio at their home on Watt St., Mom said, "well John I have cancer and I hope I raised you kids well", I said "Mom you did your best, us kids were raisd very well Mom". She smiled and said "Well son, I hope so". May you rest in peace Mom, we will miss you so much, till we meet again." Love John and Maria and children. - Posted by: John and Maria Pirrie and children. Auntie Pearl was my mother's younger sister. Although, the family didn't stay together as they grew up, I was always curious about my mother's family. In 2003, I found Auntie Pearl listed on her sister Eva Huska's obituary from Dauphne. I called her from Safeway in Winnipeg and met her and Hilda that evening. From there I met her family and gathered a lot of information for my genealogy search. I have kept in contact with her over these 9 years and seeing her again in 2004, 2005 and 2009. I will miss talking to her as she was the last connection with my mother and because I enjoyed hearing of her Bingo exploits and what she and Hilda had been up to. She is with George and Margaret now and without pain or discomfort. My sincere condonlences to Gordon, Ingrid, Hilda, George, Charlene,Johnny, Dollie,Lorraine, Martin, Brian and Mylinda. You will all be in my prayers and thoughts on Tuesday. Your loving cousin Val - Posted by: Val Cornforth (Niece) on: Jul 28, 2012
