I was impressed by Walter when I met him at Our Lady of the Roses Mary Help of Mother's Shrine in Bayside, NY. He was on a pilgrimage and he shared his deep faith and love for our Blessed Mother and Jesus. Even though I have not seen him for many years, I remember him vividly. I will pray for him and hope that he will remember me when he is in heaven. Eternal rest grant unto him, O Lord+++ - Posted by: Carol Hemphill (acquaintance ) on: Sep 08, 2013

I only just became aware of this page today, but feel compelled to add a tribute. Walter was a wonderful team player. He played receiving end, scored many touchdowns, and could always be counted on to do his best. My heartfelt condolences to the family. - Posted by: Wilmer Penner (Coach, Steinbach Landmark Dutchmen) on: Jul 26, 2013
