• Well, we would've liked to be there and stay for the memorial service but unfortunately I've got to get back up north and Mackenzie needed to register for courses today. I remember Mr. Peter's interest in my work with fisheries and the environment and was always flattered when he wanted to discuss my career path. I also had a keen fascination with Hank's work relating to mechanical parts and metal fabrication. I don't think we were ever without something to communicate. Trips out to Grand Beach and West Hawk with the Peters family was often a fun experience eating freshly-picked blueberries, tying up the boat and preparing it for the inevitable storm that never seemed to arrive, and watching Mr. Peters take several dips in the frigid waters of "the Hawk" while spending the rest of his beach time soaking up the sun. Everyone knew that at some time during the day Mr. Peters would hail out a resounding "Take your shirt off!" - during the summer months, Hank's skin was always a golden brown. I always admired how Mr. Peters would exemplify the value in things ensuring that what he purchased was of good quality, value, and would be well taken care of to last decades. I see this attribute in Mike all the time. Diane and I will miss you Mr. Peters and hope your travels above and beyond will keep you basking in the rays of His Glory!
