ARCHIBALD (ARCHIE) LEWIS Peacefully, after a lengthy illness on Monday, September 10, 2012, Archie, aged 85 years passed away at Seven Oaks Hospital. Predeceased by his wife Alvina, along with all of his brothers and sister. He is survived by his son Terry Lewis (Elizabeth), daughters Vonne Lewis, Dawn Hill, and Carrie Lewis, along with five grandchildren and three great-grand-children. Cremation and a private family service is planned.

  • Good morning. I'm the Webmaster at Fort Sill, Oklahoma, and I'm on the search for the Archie Lewis who was captain of the football squad at Arkansas State. Mr. Lewis was a star of the 31st Field Artillery (colored) battalion football team. I have a newspaper clipping that his family might enjoy having.   • Uncle Archie was my dad Leo's boss and friend for years. He was an amazing man. I will miss him dearly. My condolences to his children.
