HENRY JOHN DEJONG With sadness, the family announces the peaceful passing of Henry on September 13, 2012 at Concordia Hospital at 72 years of age. He is survived by wife Joan (Whiklo) and children, grandchildren and nieces. Henry worked as a firefighter with the Winnipeg Fire Department, retiring as a captain. Cremation has taken place, a private family gathering was held. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to CancerCare Manitoba, 675 McDermot Ave.

We were so saddened to hear the passing of Uncle Henry...we have many happy and cherished memories and will miss his wonderful smile and sly little giggle. I always told him he was my favorite uncle and that was the truth...our heartfelt condolences to Antie Joan, Harry and Kathy and familes.
