JOYCE ELEANOR OWENS (nee STEPHAN) Peacefully, on Friday, September 14, 2012, at St. Boniface Hospital, Joyce passed on to her next adventure just after her 76th birthday. Predeceased by her beloved husband Gerry, she will be lovingly remembered by her children Diane (Les), Lori, Arlene, Wayne (Christina) and Ella; her aunt Mary and uncle Stanley; her brother Clarence and family; eight grandchildren, six great-grandchildren and the Owens' families. Our heartfelt thanks to the special caregivers on ward E4. Special thanks to her friends Katherine, Carol, Rhonda and Martin for their extraordinary support of Mom. In lieu of flowers Mom would love a donation to the Winnipeg Humane Society, Union Gospel Mission or any organization involved in helping youth. Funeral service is on Thursday, September 20 at 11:00 a.m. at Friends Funeral Service, 2146 Main St., Winnipeg. Viewing is pre-service. Reception and interment to follow.
