I was so saddened to hear of the passing of Jackie. Jackie was one of the first workmates I came across when I started work as a machinist in 1974 after immigrating from Belfast. Jackie took me under his wing and showed me many, many new things, which would have taken me twice as long on my own. I thank Jackie for the wonderful memories from the early years. I will always have fond memories of him. - Posted by: Grant Rodgers (Friend) on: Oct 13, 2012

Jack will be missed, he was a kind warm hearted person. We looked forward to opening the cottage every year dropping in at the Coca Cola refuse site to visit with him. Over the years he was used to us Bear watching with the kids during every weekend and on our holidays. He always made time to chat with us how was our winter, what new things we were doing around the cottage etc. We were so very saddened this past summer when Jack took ill, we were no longer able to have our regular visits and chats with him, bear watching was not as fun. Rest in peace Jack you were a great person. May the memories your family have of you comfort them during this time, they are in our thoughts and prayers. - Posted by: Dean & Sherry Swain () on: Oct 10, 2012

There are not enough words to express our beloved friend Jackie. Jackie was definitely a unique man with a heart of gold and a heartfelt smile that could brighten your day in a flash. His eyes were always dancing with a hint of mischief behind them. He had the capability to touch everyone's life in a positive way from the moment you met him... he was a true friend to many who were fortunate to meet and love him. He will be deeply missed but fondly remembered in everyone's hearts. Sincerest condolences to the entire family. Until we meet again--May Jackie Rest In Peace and Safely in the Lord's arms.♥♥ - Posted by: Norm and Donna Kipling (Friends of Family) on: Oct 09, 2012
