ANITA MARIE POIRON (née GAUTHIER) Peacefully at her residence, surrounded by her loving family, on Tuesday, October 16, 2012, Mrs. Anita Poiron of Somerset, Manitoba passed away at the age of 79 years. Prayers will be held at Adam's Funeral Home on Friday, October 19, 2012 at 7:30 p.m. Funeral Services will be held in the Notre Dame de la Nativité Catholic Church in Somerset, MB on Saturday, October 20, 2012. Eulogy, video and music at 1:30, Funeral Mass at 2:00 p.m. followed by interment in the Parish Cemetery with Father Armand Le Gal officiating. Full obituary to follow. In lieu of flowers donations may be made to CancerCare Manitoba, 1160-675 McDermot Avenue, Winnipeg, MB R3E 0V9. Adam's Funeral Home of Notre Dame de Lourdes, Manitoba in care of arrangements. Veuillez accepter nos plus sincères condoléances. J'ai connu Anita à cause de son travail exemplaire auprès des comités culturels et de la communauté francophone. Elle demeure avec nous à jamais empreint dans nos souvenirs. Je voudrais offrir mes sympathies aux enfants et toute la famille Poiron. I had several of the family as students and personal contact with Mme Anita on many occasions. My thoughts and prayers are with each and every one of you... Mme Poiron was the sister of my aunt Jeannette Champagne and also I come from Somerset. We used to live on the same street. So I grew up and went to school with Louis who was in my class. I enjoyed speaking with her everytime there was a family get together at Uncle Alfred Champagnes' place.
