STEVEN GRANT GARDEN
Born: Feb 10, 1990
Date of Passing: Oct 19, 2012
Send Flowers to the Family Offer Condolences or MemorySTEVEN GRANT GARDEN February 10, 1990 - October 19, 2012 It is with great sadness, that we announce the passing of Steven Garden. Steven was predeceased by his father Ken, with whom he will be laid to rest. He leaves to cherish his memory, his mother Patty, three brothers Rorie, Todd and Keegan, special nephews and one niece, Braden, Tristen, Noah and Sadie, his aunts, uncles and cousins, two very special cousins Lisa and Carol and the absolute love of his life Nives. Steven was a talented person. He had so many friends that respected and admired him in school, sports and work places. He connected with everyone with his humor, love and generosity. He liked to stay in shape and behind those muscles was a very sensitive guy. He will be missed so much. Funeral Service for Steven will be held on Saturday, October 27, 2012 at 2:00 p.m. at Calvary Temple, 440 Hargrave St. From holding you close as a new baby, to holding my breath as you took your first steps From watching your early stumbles and tumbles, to knowing that nothing could hold you back for long From caring for you, supporting you, believing in you, to being rewarded so many times by your smiles and thoughtfulness I've loved being the mother of such a wonderful son.

All though we didn't know each other the best, I just wanted to share my story of knowing you. When I first met you, you stuck out in a crowd. You were a polite and a very nice guy, you had a smile that lit up a room. We only talked in school but when I heard about you passing I was shocked and deep sadness overwhelmed me. I hope you are at peace and hope you are watching out over everyone who meant something to you, cause your missed greatly but all. Steven was a wonderful lad with a zest for life. Steven and his brothers were always wonderful to have around and visit with Tina and Eric, our kids especially after school for snacks. Steven will always be dear in our hearts. Miss all of you! Love Lindy - Posted by: Lindy and Horst Koelzow (Neighbours on Larsen Ave) on: Nov 02, 2012

Weird to think you just came into my work a few weeks ago. Makes you wish the conversations you have with people you don't see often last a little bit longer. Your smile will live on, clearly. It's a true shame you had to leave us so soon. Thinking of you, and your whole family. Hoping you're in a better place than all of us <3 rest peacefully. - Posted by: Amber Zastre (Friend) on: Nov 01, 2012

Steven you were my very first crush ever, as I'm sure you were many girl's first crushes back at Princess Margaret and Chief Peguis. The coolest dude in school. Every girl wanted to be that girl you followed around at recess. You were also my longest crush ever, seven years! K-6 man :) Such a cutie you were and you had some sort of charm, some sort of magic you worked on all of us. I'll never forget that. Even when you made fun of me I was just happy I was getting Steven attention. It's sad that it's only in times like these when you realize what an impact we all made on each other in our growing up years but I think we all molded each other into who we are today. Thank you for your impact on my life and every one else's that you touched. You've taught me how to be brave around cool dudes like you! Our paths didn't cross nearly enough later on in life but when they did you were a total gentleman. I'm sending you and your family, your friends and everyone who loves you all my pixie dust, and wish that you have found that magical realm of positive vibrations, constant sunshine and eternal smiles where you can rest all irie. Ahhh, Steven. So sad to hear the news of a young man that was such a joy to know and teach. I struggled with going to your funeral. I couldn't do it -- too much, too heartbreaking. I wanted to give hugs to all of your friends. I've taught a lot of kids throughout the years. You definitely stuck out as full of personality and a beautiful zest for life. You are already missed by many. Many condolences to your family. Peace to you, Steven. - Posted by: Susan Livingston (Former Drama Teacher at Chief Peguis Junior High) on: Oct 27, 2012

Patty, We heard about the sad news and wanted you to know how truly sorry we are. We will keep you all in our thoughts and prays that your famnily finds the strength and courage to get through this difficult time. What moves through us is a silence, a quiet sadness, a longing for one more day, one more word, one more touch, we may not understand why you left this earth so soon, or why you left before we were ready to say good-bye, but little by little, we begin to remember not just that you died, but that you lived. And that your life gave us memories too beautiful to forget. Rory, Todd & Keegan, There is a special gift in life that some of us receive; It's not a fancy car or house or a brilliant jewel to wear; No, that very special thing is a person, near and dear, Someone we call "brother", the greatest gift of all. You don't get over it, you just get through it. Your don't get by it, because you can't get around it. It doesn't get better; just gets different. Grief puts on a new face.... Take care and time. - Posted by: Lila, Ryan and Amanda Fifi (Neighbors from Larsen Ave.) on: Oct 25, 2012

A close childhood friend that I always admired for having such great charisma and personality. Growing up he was the guy you wanted in your corner. He was always honest and loyal with me and I regret that our friendship faded as we got older. My thoughts and prayers go out to his mom. Steven was a significant part of my childhood and he will be greatly missed by the vast array of friends that loved him. - Posted by: Dan Penner () on: Oct 24, 2012

Steven, you left us too soon! That smile could melt anyone's heart. First thing I think about is all the times at Perkins .....we were all such brats!! Think our boss hated us all but I wouldn't take back anything we did. You were a talent to watch in soccer and such a little ladies man back in high school. What girl didn't love that smile and warm personality. My dearest sympathy to your family and everyone who shared memories xo rest in peace. - Posted by: Lauren Vandale (Old friend ) on: Oct 24, 2012

Steven, you will be remembered for always having that smile on your face, for laughing, for being polite, and for cheering people up with your sense of humour. I remember the night I first met you at Fraser's Grove like it was yesterday and even more clearly, the last time I saw you a few months ago. I wish I would have stayed to talk longer, but am glad I got a hug goodbye. Thanks for always being so nice to me and to every one of my sisters. You will be missed by each one of us. You can shed tears that he is gone, or you can smile because he has lived. You can close your eyes and see all the good that he has left behind, or you can close your eyes because you can't see him at all. Your heart can be full because of all the love that you've shared, or your heart can be empty because you will share no more. You can turn your back on tomorrow and live for yesterday, or you can remember him and only that he is gone. You can cherish his memory and let him live on or you can cry, close your mind and turn your back..I can keep telling you what to do or you can do what he'd want: smile, open your mind, live and go on. Gone but not forgotten, always in our thoughts. Rest in Peace Steven. - Posted by: Ally Lewis (Good Friend) on: Oct 24, 2012

You are loved and missed. - Posted by: Ryan Johnson (Friend) on: Oct 24, 2012
