SARA ANGELE DUFAULT (nee TRUDEAU) March 25, 1916 October 31, 2012 A Grand Lady We celebrate the life of our maman, grandmother, great-grandmother, sister and friend who went home to be with the Lord. Maman was born in Ile-des-Chenes, the sixth eldest in a family of 10 brothers and sisters. She was predeceased by her parents, Rosario and Odile (Johnson), five sisters, three brothers, her beloved husband Alexandre (1970), her sons Jerome (1991) and Georges (2005). She is survived by her daughters Angele and Lucille (Gilles) Savard and her sons Alain, Leo (Carmen), Bernard, and Paul, 19 grandchildren, 21 great-grandchildren, her dear little sister Jeanne d'Auteuil and sisters-in-law Anna Verrier and Therese St-Mars. She left Ile-de-Chenes in 1972 and settled in St. Boniface where she lived with her daughter Angele up until 2007 when she moved to her new home at L'Action Marguerite (Foyer Valade). Maman had a deep and vibrant faith in Jesus Christ and a love for His Word. She was not ashamed of what she believed in and her faith became everything to her God first, then family and friends. A prayer warrior, she spent hours interceding in prayer by name for her children, grandchildren and great-grand-children whom she loved so much. She loved reading God's Word and left us with many well-worn Bibles filled with underlined verses and margin notes. For years, Maman opened up her home for prayer meetings that were led by her Pastor, Lino Martinez and his wife Emma. This led to a friendship that lasted over 20 years and she considered the Martinez' as family. Maman had a big heart and so much love for everyone. She supported several families in diverse countries through World Vision for many years and was always so thrilled to receive photos and notes from her adopted families . Her home was always filled with music, hymns and songs of praise. In her younger years, Maman and her sisters spent many summer evenings singing, playing the violin and guitar while Alexandre wooed her with the harmonica. She could not resist her Errol Flynn look-alike! The family would like to thank the wonderful caregivers at L'Action Marguerite for the care and love they extended to our mother especially during her final days. You were all her favourites. While we grieve for the loss of our mother we know that after she took her last breath on earth she woke up in heaven, face to face with Jesus and all her loved ones who have gone before her. Chere Maman, we rejoice with you, yet still miss you so much. You will be forever in our hearts. Jesus said to her, I am the resurrection and the life. He who believes in Me, though he may die, he shall live John 11:25 GREEN ACRES Funeral Home and Cemetery (204) 222-3241 Condolences may be sent to www.greenacresfuneralhome.com
