ALEXANDER MIKE DIAKIW Alec passed away Sunday, November 4, 2012 at the age of 78. His death was a direct result of an automobile accident. Left to cherish his memory are brothers Harry (Shirley) and Peter (Penny); sister Jeanette of Calgary, AB; as well as many nephews, nieces, great nephews, and great nieces. Alec was predeceased by his parents William and Annie. Alec was the eldest son, born July 20, 1934. He was educated in both Norquay and Tech Voc Schools. His working career started with Caterpillar and he retired from Midwest Detroit Diesel in 1998. Until their passing, Alec devoted his life to both his loving parents and to the remaining members of his family. Alec's presence and unconditional love will be truly missed by all. Flowers are gratefully declined. If so desired, donations may be made to the Winnipeg Humane Society or a charity of choice. There will be a private family service and interment.
