YVONNE DASS It is with heavy hearts that we announce the peaceful passing of Yvonne Dass on November 10, 2012. Born in Trinidad in 1930, Yvonne immigrated to Canada in 1968 where she began her career at the Winnipeg General Hospital and then at the St. Boniface General Hospital until her retirement. She enjoyed interacting with patients and her coworkers. Yvonne (or Grammy as she affectionately became known to all who knew her) had an incomparable spirit and radiated positivity and love on all those around her. She was well known for opening her home and heart when people were in need. For those who had the privilege of knowing her, it was impossible not to be affected by her warmth. She was predeceased in 2003 by her husband Bernard (Benz) and daughter Helen in 1986. She is survived by countless family and friends, her daughter Margaret (Wolfgang) and their children Brigitte and Renate, son Joseph and his children Amanda and Jonathan and also grandchildren Avi (Shilpa), Asha and Rishma (Anthony), sisters-in-law Bain and Mayah (Bal), and children Roy (Caroline), Rhoda, Raj along with lifelong friends Surend and Hilly. Our family would like to thank her physician Dr. P. G. Mehta for his excellent care throughout the years. She will be dearly missed and we will treasure the many wonderful memories we hold in our hearts. We miss you and love you. Should friends desire, donations may be made in Yvonne's memory to the St. Boniface Hospital Foundation. Cremation has taken place and a Celebration of her life will be held on Friday, November 16, 2012 at 10:00 a.m. at Green Acres Funeral Home, Highway #1 East at Navin Road. GREEN ACRES Funeral Home and Cemetery (204) 222-3241 Condolences may be sent to www.greenacresfuneralhome.com
