Condolences & Memories (2 entries)

  • Where to begin...Mrs. Sim to me was a fantastic lady, treated me as one of her own I felt at times. I was best friends with her daughter Barb (Barbara) and also sons Glen and Brian. The memories are far to long to list so I will share just a few. The sleepovers in the camper, wow how fortunate was I, always welcome and in the morning Mrs. Sim would make us breakfast it was a secret I probably never had to share but I longed for her little silver dollar pancakes and I am sure she knew it as I would stand behind her and watch her cook them. She was a really good cook and extremely good to me over the years of my childhood! Gosh the games played at the Sims house in the front yard, red rover red rover we call Glenny over comes to mind to mention just one of many but they often were at the Sims house, all the kids in the neighborhood were always welcome at the Sims house to play. Another memmory that comes to mind was Marie and her piano, gosh she loved her piano, she could really play and sing too, just one of her many hobbies/joys I recall besides her knitting too. She was truly a caring and generous person! I was blessed to have known such a wonderful lady and I will cherish all the memories forever! My condolences to Barb, Glen and Brian and family. - Posted by: Cherl Lamirande (Childhood Friend of the Family) on: Jan 29, 2013
