Send Flowers to the Family Offer Condolences or MemoryANNE ANDERSON July 3, 1928 November 18, 2012 "Safely Home" It is with great sadness that we announce the peaceful passing of Anna Anderson at Concordia Place on Sunday, November 18, 2012 at the age of 84 with her family by her side. Mom was predeceased by her husband of 62 years, Norman on October 29, 2011, her mother and father Pearl and William Lupky, brothers John, Nick, Paul and Alex and sisters Mary and Jean. She is survived by her children Linda (Ray) Fontaine, Donna (Brian) Shymko, Gary (June) and Kimberly (Graham) Moir; seven grand-children Monique (Bob), Janine (Stephen), Clint (Christine), Ryan (Pam), Geoffrey (Jasmine), Larysa (Garrett) and Denny; nine great-grandchildren, as well as her brothers Peter and Terry Lupky. Mom was born and raised in Sandilands. When she moved to the city, she and dad met at the old Winnipeg Roller Rink, fell in love and married October 24, 1948. They resided in Brooklands and raised their four children. Mom worked at Zellers on Portage and then Eaton's on Portage in linens. She later worked in the Polo Park Eaton's for 35 years in the China Department. She loved her job and the many friends she made over the years. Mom was a gentle, caring lady. She was real. Reading was her passion and cooking was her gift. Her milk soup is still talked about by her son. We have to find the recipe! Mom has been one of Jehovah's Witnesses for the last 40 years. She was very active in the preaching of God's Kingdom. She looked forward to the scriptural hope that will be fulfilled. He will actually swallow up death forever and then the sovereign lord, Jehovah will certainly wipe the tears from all faces. Isaiah 25: verse 8. Our mother had spent her last six years living at Concordia Place Personal Care Home with her extended family of devoted staff, whose care and kindness has made Mom's memory of life more enjoyable. Our family will always hold her last days and the remarkable care we received in our hearts forever. We love you all. A memorial service to honour Anne's life will be held at the Kingdom Hall of Jehovah's Witnesses, 227 Lakewood Blvd., Winnipeg on Saturday, December 1 at 2:00 p.m. A family graveside service will take place at a later date. Voyage Funeral Home in care of arrangements, once again, Thank-you Mike. Mother, you have been a special blessing; your hands always helping, your arms always opened, your face full of smiles, your ears ready to listen, your love never ending, your heart made of gold. Love you.
