ALEXANDR SHEVTSOV It is with deep sadness that the family announces the sudden passing of Alexandr Shevtsov at the age of 60 in his sleep. Left to cherish his memory are his family in Canada and Ukraine. Alexandr Shevtsov was born in Ukraine May 20, 1952 and died on December 2, 2012. In the summer of 1997 Alex with wife Lyuba, daughter Natalia and borzoi Gerda immigrated to Canada to reunite with son Andrey and his wife Svetlana. Alex was a hard worker, who loved and enjoyed life to the fullest. He worked for 11 years at Maple Leaf until plant closure. He loved his grandson, Nestor, and fishing, the passion of his life. He was the heart of the company, laughing, joking, smoking his pipe and telling stories. His great smile will be missed. Prayers will be held 7:00 p.m., Wednesday, December 5 (tonight) at Korban Funeral Chapel, 907 Main St. Funeral service will be held 2:00 p.m., Thursday, December 6 at Holy Trinity Russian Orthodox Church, 643 Manitoba Ave. KORBAN FUNERAL CHAPEL 204-956-2193
