EDWARD ERNEST JOSEPH PARISIEN (BIMBO) In the early morning of December 7, 2012, Edward Parisien, beloved husband and best friend of Violet of 25 years, passed away peacefully in his sleep at home. His loving wife and their dearest companions Muffin, Bisquit and Missy were by his side. Ed was born in Winnipeg, MB on October 4, 1952 to Ernest and Edmee Parisien, now deceased. Ed was a caring and loving son, the best brother in the world , a loving father, grandfather, uncle and brother-in-law. Ed will be sadly missed and remembered by his wife Violet, children Bernadette, Jennifer, Stanley and Ernest (Ammie), sisters Bernice (Stan), Doreen, Joyce (Steve), Elaine, JoAnne and Michelle (Michel), his brother Leslie, and nine loving grandchildren will sadly miss their Papa. Edward was respected, much loved and cared for by his close nieces, nephews, aunties and uncles. He was the sunshine in our lives. To the people who knew him- co-workers, school friends and his 1965 Little League Baseball Teammates, he was always a friend. Ed was predeceased by his eldest daughter Danette, his parents, sister Betty and nephew Darren. For the past 24 years, Ed has been an Owner/Operator for CN Intermodal. He loved driving his truck. "BW13 is now Retired". Ed had compassion for all people because his heart made him the true person he was. He had the biggest smile, loved to make people laugh and made everyone feel welcome. Following Ed's wishes, cremation has taken place and a celebration of his life will be held Thursday, December 13 from 6:00 to 9:00 p.m. at Church of the Open Door, 137 Euclid Ave.

  • Daddy, It is so hard for me to see this, so unexpected. Seeing Gramma's obit was troublesome and this... It is so unbearable! I can't say enough about you, you were always there for me and the family. Daddy I am wanting to be very selfish just to have you back and feel the warmth of your arms around me and giving me a kiss and saying "I Love You My Baby", but I know this can't happen. I know you are smiling big still and holding Danette again and telling her your famous stories... and making her laugh... Now you can watch over us with Danette, Gramma, Betty, Darren and you Dad. Even tho you left peacefully to continue your path, we will be here knowing you are watching over us and ok. I will take care of Mom for you and will never turn my back on her. This I promise as I know you would want me to make sure she is ok. Daddy I Love You so and miss you so much. Our paths will meet again and until then I will keep my head up and keep smiling. Good Night Daddy I LOVE YOU. Love Your Girl, Jennifer. XOXOXOXOXOXOXOXOXOXOXOX - Posted by: Jennifer Georgette Parisien (Daughter) on: Dec 13, 2012

  • you always showed me that you work hard in your life to provide for yourself and your family...i used to love going in the garage with you to help you fix things on your semi even in the winter time just put on the wood burner. to this day i still love the smell of shops because it reminds me of those days.. you always were a joker and always had a smile on your face... you loved your family dearly and would do anything for them and friends too, if you could help you would no questions asked... it was a sad day when you passed because you meant so much to so many.... life will be greatly different without you... you always greeted me with hugs and then same words i love you no matter how old your children got we were still your babies.... i love you and will miss you so much but your time with us has passed now its time to share you.... but i know you will still be looking out for us because now you are an angel - Posted by: bernadette (daughter) on: Dec 13, 2012

  • Dad, you taught me many things from a distance that we could not close. How I wished we weren't both so stubborn that we could of made and lived our lives closer. Things happen for a reason though, the man I grew to become is that of one that has done many different things on my own and over came many hurdles. Most of these I wish I had had the guidance to make life easier but if it had been I wouldn't be who I am today. Your three beautiful grandchildren are proof of this. I often wondered 'what would of been?' This I cannot answer, I can only dream. Lessons and love can be taught annd felt from miles away, this I can prove. This I cherish. I cannot change the hand I've been dealt and I in turn can teach what I know and can only hope that what I do is right. You live through me and now you may live through my children. I will hold your hand as you had held mine when I was a child. I know we will be together again one day, I wish it happened in this life time but not all dreams can come true. Enjoy your daughter, my sister, Danette. She needs you now and I will one day follow. I love you Dad and never stopped. Take care and in time we will drive that truck together. xoxo your son, Ernie. - Posted by: Ernie Parisien (Son) on: Dec 11, 2012
