DONALD WILLIAM DUNCAN March 24, 1927 - December 27, 2012 Don passed away peacefully at Concordia Place with his wife Lil at his side, at the age of 85 years. He grew up in St. Boniface and had worked at the Public Markets at Union Stockyards for 45 years. He is survived by his wife Lil, sister-in-law Joan (Charlie) Strachan of Kenora, ON, brother-in-law John (Velda) Gugulyn of Edmonton, AB, cousins Lynda (Kerry) Baxter, Rob (Sharon) Duncan and Aunt Wilma Duncan, many nieces and nephews and Millie Fraser. Don bowled for many years with the Hoof and Horn Club and also curled. After retirement, he enjoyed shooting pool at the Elmwood Senior Centre and fishing at Minaki, ON. Travelling was also one of his favourite things. Don was predeceased by his parents Bill and Annie Duncan and sister Dorothy, his in-laws Sam and Lena Gugulyan and sister-in-law Mary Klopko. As per his wishes, cremation has taken place and no formal service will be held. Interment will take place at a later date in Elmwood Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, donations in memory of Don may be made to any animal shelter or a charity of your choice. My thanks to all the staff on the main floor at Concordia Place for being so caring and thoughtful.
