Send Flowers to the Family Offer Condolences or MemoryRHONDA BARSTAD (nee WEISE) November 6, 1958 - January 1, 2013 54 years old, Winnipeg, Manitoba It is with love and sorrow that we announce the sudden passing of Rhonda Corinne Barstad with family by her side on January 1, 2013. Her memory will be cherished by her partner Ward Mckibben, brothers Miles (Barb) and Dwight (Brenda), nieces and nephews Kaila, Nadine, Kenneth, Adam (Stephanie), Derrick (Mackenzie) and Dale, great niece and nephews Madison, A.J, and Haylen and dearest friends Ernie and Jeff. Rhonda was predeceased by her parents Archie and Patricia Weise, sister and brother-in-law Cheryl and Kenny Birston, as well as many other family and friends. Her true gift was making you laugh and smile, and a good shoulder to cry on when you needed someone. Rhonda still lives in our hearts in the happiness we knew, in the dreams we shared. She will be missed deeply by her family and friends and we all have our individual ways to remember her by. She was a caterpillar in the end that turned into a beautiful butterfly that is now looking down on us saying "I'm home". The Family would like to send a special thank you to the staff at Seven Oaks Hospital (fl. 5, unit 3 and ICU) and the staff at Health Sciences Centre (MICU). A memorial service in honor of Rhonda will be held on Thursday, January 10, 2013 at 7:00 p.m. in the chapel of Voyage Funeral Home, 220 Hespeler Avenue, Winnipeg, Manitoba.

There are so many times we can say we travel roads that change our thinking and Rhonda did a lot of that and shared many laughs and insightful dreams shared by those close to her. My dearest sister-in-law, I will miss your smile, and your laughter and even the countless midnight phone calls. You helped me thru some tough times and were always there for me to talk to.
