Send Flowers to the Family Offer Condolences or MemoryRODNEY DENNIS EDWARDS May 18, 1940 - January 9, 2013 After a courageous battle with cancer, Rod died peacefully at Riverview Health Centre with his children by his side. Rod was predeceased by his wife Georgina in 2006. He is survived by his children Shelley (Helmut), Marla (Cory), Greg and his grandchildren Daniel, Keli, Jordyn, Tayshon and Ashly. His life was full of ups and downs but he rose above it all. A wife who was full of love and happiness encouraged him to follow his dreams of writing and travelling the world. She stayed at home and held the fort while Rod provided for his family. He never let his kids go without anything, always well fed and well dressed. He loved to dance and spent time outdoors, always up for the next adventure. In the end he fought real hard his stubbornness and strength shone through. He bravely succumbed to his illness making peace with his life. The family would like to thank all of the compassionate staff and nurses from 3E Riverview Health Centre and the Palliative Care Program. A private family service will take place.

I'm so sorry for the loss of your father and grandfather. I have so many fond memories of Rod. Rod loved to party and he was always a welcome addition on Millbrook Road.
