I will dearly miss my visits with Henry. I would visit him at least once or twice a week at his office on Henderson Hwy. We loved to talk about our construction days, kids, and grandkids. He was a dear friend who will be sadly missed. Rest in peace my friend. - Posted by: Frank and Hildegard Pauls (Friends) on: Jan 23, 2013

In 1979, Mr. Pauls and family was one of many who helped sponsor our family from a refugee camp in Hong Kong. Mr. Pauls was a great man with a beautiful heart and with God’s grace took a colossal risk in sponsoring and welcoming us strangers to his blessed world. We hope you are proud of who we’ve all become. We are so appreciative and we’ve never and for generations after us will never forget just how lucky we are to have had a Mr. Pauls in our lives. Thank you for everything and may you be blessed upon your deliverance to Him. You will be missed. - Posted by: Laura Lao () on: Jan 21, 2013

My deepest condolences to Mrs. Pauls and family. Mr. Pauls and his family sponsered my family from Vietnam to Winnipeg in 1979. A sincere act of kindness that will never be forgotten. - Posted by: Quoc Lao (Family-friend) on: Jan 19, 2013

Henry was a North Kildonan icon and certainly helped shape North Kildonan into what it is today. Many people came to Canada from Paraguay in the 1950's and Henry's store became a meeting place for many. Henry was going to enjoy successes in his life....that is just who he was. My condolences to the family. - Posted by: John Wiebe () on: Jan 19, 2013

My deepest sympathy to Mrs Pauls and the Pauls family. My Mom (Helen Doughie)worked for Mr Pauls for many years both in the grocery store and in his land development company and they became great friends. Myself, my sister (Debbie Walstra), and both my parents held Mr Pauls in the highest regard. He was a very kind gentleman and will be greatly missed. - Posted by: Diane Church (Doughie) formerly of Essar Ave Wpg (Friend) on: Jan 19, 2013
