  • I remember Mr. Langford as a lean, loose-limbed young man sitting on the floor, back against the wall of a house party on Whitehall Blvd, a highball on the shag carpet beside him and a big "Hey, how you doing? Isn't this great?" grin on his face. He wore cool slim 60's slacks like Dylan, and colours I'd never seen on a man before--orange and purple. His cologne was spicy and, to my young senses, exotic. Certainly different from my Dad's Aqua Velva. One of my earliest images of rhythm in the human body was of him rocking over his guitar as he sat on the piano bench next to my father or singing and playing at Sunday mass. A charming man, who seemed so full of the joy of living and I'm grateful that I was able to see him again at your beautiful anniversary celebration Mrs. Langford. I'm so sorry for your loss. - Posted by: Ted Atherton (Admirer) on: Jan 31, 2013
