Send Flowers to the Family Offer Condolences or MemoryGUDRUN FELBEL (nee ESCHERHAUSEN) 1936 - 2013 Gudrun Felbel, aged 76 years, passed away peacefully with her family by her side at Beausejour Hospital on Monday, January 28, 2013. She was predeceased by her parents Johanna and Gerhard Escherhausen, and her sisters Ruth and Ilsa. She will be lovingly remembered by her husband of 52 years, Gerhard, her children Rita (Vince) Ness, Bonnie (Murray) Melvin, and Johanna (Terry) Felbel, her grandchildren Kara, Nicole and Jessica, as well as her brother Gerhard in Germany. Oma was born in Germany and came to Canada in 1960 where she met her husband Gerhard. They settled in Moosehorn, MB until they moved to Beausejour in 1968 where they raised their children and ran a family dairy farm. For the past several years, Gudrun resided at East Gate Lodge. Faith and family were the center of Gudrun's world and she will be dearly missed. The family would like to thank all the staff at East Gate Lodge and Beausejour Hospital for their care and compassion, as well as Dr. Schmidt for her care. Funeral Service will be held on Friday, February 1 at 2:00 p.m. at Grace Lutheran Church, 418 Gertrude Avenue, Beausejour with viewing one hour prior to the service. Interment will follow in the Beausejour Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to East Gate Lodge.
