Send Flowers to the Family Offer Condolences or MemoryMARTHA ROHDE It is with sadness we announce the sudden passing of our mother and grandmother, Martha Rohde who went to be with the Lord on January 31, 2013 at the age of 78. Left to cherish her memory are her children Harry (Donalda) and Angie; grandchildren Bryan, Sarah, Leah, Emily and Rachel. She is predeceased by her husband Ernst. Martha was born on September 1, 1934, in Berestovitz, Poland to Gottlieb and Natalie Reschke. After the Second World War, she and her family settled in Germany where she met her future husband Ernst Rohde. Martha came to Canada in 1954 followed by Ernst in 1959 when they were married in Winnipeg. Martha loved vacationing with family and friends. In the early years, that included camping and fishing, and in the later years winter holidays to Florida. Two special vacations were with her husband and children to Europe, and most recently a trip to Germany to visit family and friends. Mom was privileged to be able to remain in her own home till the very end. Her times with her neighbours were especially precious to her and I know she will be dearly missed by them. Funeral service will take place Tuesday, February 5, 2013 at 10:00 a.m. at Mission Baptist Church, 771 Sargent Ave. with viewing prior to the service. Interment to follow in Chapel Lawn Memorial Gardens. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Camp Nutimik, P.O. Box 68, Seven Sisters, MB R0E 1Y0.

So sorry to hear about your mom. I still have fond memories of both your mom and dad and times spent out at Falcon lake.
