SANDRA HELEN LEMOINE (nee BANTING) It is with deep sadness we announce the passing of our mother Sandi Lemoine. She was born in North Battleford, SK, February 18, 1948, and passed away suddenly on Tuesday, February 5, 2013, after a brief battle with cancer. Sandi was predeceased by her parents, Helena and Milton Banting and sisters, Sheila Aupperle and Margaret Cline. She is survived by her children Angela (Bob), Michelle (Bob) and Jason (Shannon); grandchildren John, Sarah, Carter, Blayne, Karissa, Rosie, and Jude; sister Shirley Woodward (Bill); brothers Duncan (Judy) and Albert Banting, brothers-in-law Wayne Cline and Reg Aupperle; numerous nieces, nephews and cherished friends; and her faithful dog Mozart. Sandi will always be remembered for her love of children and dogs. She had a true passion for her job as head secretary of General Wolfe School. While she was unable to work, she deeply missed her friends and co-workers but especially the students. A grateful thank you to the Winnipeg Fire Dept. Engine 5, and the Winnipeg Police Service for their help and kindness. Thank you to Dr. Miskiewicz, the doctors, nurses and staff on RR6, CancerCare Manitoba and Palliative Care for the tremendous care you all gave her. To all of you that contacted or visited Mom in the hospital and at home, thank you for keeping her spirits up. Sandi had a special place in her heart for pets, in lieu of flowers; donations may be made to the Winnipeg Humane Society. According to her wishes, Mom will be interred in North Battleford, Saskatchewan at a later date. Rest In Peace Mom. You will be with us always and we will love you forever. Sandi's inner child was always alive and well and she was so much fun to work with. We kept in touch years after I left Michaels and it was the kind of friendship that even though months would go by between visits, our camaraderie was instant when we got together. I will miss her twinkling eyes, her warm nurturing spirit and infectious laugh. My deepest condolences to her children and grandchildren who she often spoke of in such a loving way. - Posted by: Patricia Kuz (friend and former colleague from Michael's) on: Feb 16, 2013
