JOHN WARKENTIN It is with great sadness that after a brief illness, John (Johann) Warkentin was called to the loving arms of his heavenly father. Born on August 13, 1922, in Sarartow, Siberia, John was the son of Peter and Elisabeth (Heinrichs). John was born an identical twin, the tenth of 11 children and was the last surviving sibling. John is survived by his loving wife Tina (Wiebe), his children, Anne Trowell (Benjamin), Aggie Roberecki (Leif), and Hans (Vicky), and his beloved grandchildren, Zachary, Emily, Kirstin, and Alyssa. He also leaves numerous nieces and nephews on three continents who all were in his thoughts. Funeral service will be held on Wednesday, February 27, 2013, at 11:00 a.m. at North Kildonan Mennonite Brethren Church, 1315 Gateway Road with viewing prior to the service. Interment will take place in Green Acres Cemetery.
